"We are fully aware that it is impossible to control and prevent all copper thefts as extensive as Murcia town but it is the responsibility of the government team to provide a solution at the earliest when such thefts occur," avoiding insecurity of neighbors, the mayor added.
As Serna explained, the Civil Guard proceeded to the arrest this week of two people accused of stealing copper and metal material streetlights within the so-called 'Plan copper theft'.
UPyD Murcia has also asked the government team in the past for this problem and the actions carried out in various districts of the municipality as La Alberca, Sangonera La Verde, Santo Angel, Algezares, Llano de Brujas, Torreagüera, Stables o Albatalía to fix it.
