The Mayor, Miguel Ángel Cámara, today received the "Silver Pen" the Collective "not deprive yourself," lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender in the Region of Murcia, has been granted for their involvement, especially in the fight against HIV-AIDS.
The delivery of this distinction was held this morning at City Hall, has been moved to where the president of the group, Oscar Garcia, accompanied by other members of the organization.
After showing his appreciation for the award of this "Silver Pen" from City Hall, Miguel Ángel Cámara recalled the various areas in which collaboration has developed between local government and this group, especially in the health field.
In this sense, the Mayor pointed out the recent approval by the Board of Governors of a grant amounting to € 8,000 for organizing activities for the protection and health prevention of HIV;
primarily for the development of rapid diagnostic tests.
