This press conference is only intended to inform the public;
to our neighbors in the hamlet;
but overall is aimed at our rulers, those who currently hold some responsibility in citizen care and public service, the elected officials who govern the Hon.
Murcia City Council and ultimately the same in our region;
well as we went to the different leaders of the political parties that are currently in opposition.
The Neighborhood Association Beniaján are a neighborhood association, ie an associative entity citizenship, made today by residents of the hamlet.
Our neighborhood association is plural and multidisciplinary in the composition of its Board of Directors, as are each of the members associated with it, today.
Our main goal is working together to solve face each and every one of the problems of Beniaján and its environment, and support institutions in activities that may lead to the common good of citizens, in Pro Education , Culture, Sustainable Economic and Social Development of our parish.
One of our missions is to urge our elected representatives situations and problems that our neighbors are present in their daily lives, in order to solve them together and claim everything they think is necessary to improve which is our parish.
Our association does not represent any political party or any party's policy platform, we are simply a group of neighbors Beniaján who wants the best for our people.
Today, and since the foundation of the association with this new board, we can say that since we started, we have always been on the side of the institutions, offering our support, provision and work so that together they could respond to all the needs of our neighbors have been moving us, we are working and investing for Beniaján have the same options as other people have, to ensure that public services are those that meet the current and future needs, and especially for that there is no discrimination as territorial parish we have been suffering for many years now.
From the Neighborhood Association Beniaján all claims have not been, because in these months we have engaged in other activities, which reflect our bylaws as are the socio cultural and sporting character, give some examples that have participated in the program Recovery environment Station Beniaján, or even to start the I Duathlon Afterschool Beniaján, organized by the Association of Residents with School Triathlon Mandarache, with whom we had a good result from participation of children in our hamlet;
or as the current collection campaign in solidarity with the plugs SEUR Foundation to help children with health problems.
Although our journey is short, we believe we are taking the steps necessary for the partnership to be a useful feature to our neighbors.
We have called the media face to report what is the main reason that has led to this, our partnership, to launch the campaign "Beniaján Dies," a local movement that has already generated some reactions Beniaján.
The reasons are different, because different are the problems and shortcomings with which we in Beniaján.
BUT WHY IS DIE BENIAJAN?
1 - For nearly two years we Municipal Library without Folk School.
We have two full school years without this basic service, we mean without legislature, or even, enabled a public space for temporary location.
And in September School begin the third course.
Background:
- On August 31, 2012 and due to a water leak occur serious damage to the building of the Municipal Library Beniaján, leading to its closure by declaration of ruin.
- After a long journey based neighborhood who had no written reply submissions for 1700 signatures on the registration, press conferences from neighbors about the situation, meetings with councilors responsible plenary debates of Murcia.
- After the events described a 'Cultural Commission "and Permanent Residents Association Beniaján" along with a group of advisors, technicians and professionals from various fields in the village, in order to prepare a report needs is created.
- On February 5, 2014, being the study of requirements development in half, the various associations and social groups Beniaján is called a presentation on the city council of the parish, at City Hall, where he showed us a "Blueprint for Building a New Socio-Cultural Center and Municipal Library Beniaján", being at that moment when Beniaján Neighborhood Association has committed to providing policymakers the needs assessment being carried to completion, and always Week before Easter 2014.'s report with the results we did arrive in time and form, and today we have not had any response so as to appraise if we detect those things and maybe have to change is taken into account.
- On the other hand, we have no news of the commitment publicly acquired in our hall with all who attended the presentation, which is said by the end of this year 2014 will be the structure of the finished building and located on the site of , Calle Hernandez Mora, and that in the next year, in 2015, ended a school workshop building was determined.
- It seems that there are no overtones, that plane that was presented, it appears that is to be executed.
We have no news of any kind, no administration seems to remember what made public, first press and then as mayor of Beniaján.
From the Association of neighbors we fear that once again the story of the "promised pool" that's another bitter history of this parish is repeated, but this time we pass by the construction of the library, a service we have had for about 28 years, and we are entitled without any doubt.
- From the Neighborhood Association demand that we approve final draft and that the work getting firm dates begin execution.
Otherwise, we will understand once again that our representatives will default to what is publicly committed.
Beniaján deserves better treatment.
The biggest losers are all of our students, our youth, who represent the future of our people, but mostly it is damaging to all neighbors as we are vetoing two fundamental rights, the Access to Information and the Right to education.
On the other hand, we still workaround for we locate a place where, until the new building is built, we have a library.
This has led us to this Neighborhood Association to offer our headquarters and study hall trying to alleviate the neighbors a responsibility of government, where we are at this moment, with these borrowed tables, these plastic chairs, is where they come to study the kids.
We can not allow the start of the third school year without having resolved the issue of the provisional and the repayment of the implementation of a new municipal library and socio-cultural center.
This is the main reason that the Board of Directors of the Association of Residents (its 18 members) approved the placement of signs, so that our administration interest and take urgently needed for a problem that does not provide solutions.
In addition to this problem given priority, also launched the campaign Beniaján DIES by following others:
2nd - The old railway, a scar in the heart of Beniaján and other districts it passes through, we have a real space full of garbage, completely abandoned.
It is unthinkable that an advanced modern society and allow the center of town where we cross every day is a messy space, giving an image of destitution to the hamlet.
From the Neighborhood Association Beniaján we require the institutions involved to reach an immediate agreement, providing a solution to the problem and the old train tracks are used and converted into a green, pedestrian space and a bike path, and take the area to create a line of communication between the districts all the way.
We asked an intelligent and useful solution for South Coast has the opportunity it deserves with quality services, so that their growth is enhanced, ultimately development is given.
We do not want to be the South Coast bedroom districts, which seems inevitable if remedy is not provided from now.
3rd - The road to the South Coast Beniaján never reaches.
How can we complain that we have left most companies, if no remedy or solution is communications puts our people with the environment and with other main roads?
The reality is that, Beniaján is forgotten.
Again the road of the South Coast remained a project for Beniaján.
A vial that would allow us to communicate better with other districts and we approach the port of Chain and Arrixaca.
The December 20, 2013 was signed by the Hon.
Murcia Mayor Miguel Angel House and the Minister of Public Works an agreement for the construction of Coastal North and South, where this deal is projected to run 10 performances, 7 in the coastal North and South 3.
Of the total 25.6 million budgeted 18.1 to 7.5 for the North and the South.
Of the 3 sections to be tendered in the South will not affect the coastal development is projected to Beniaján, goes stop, stuck in the current roundabout road Algezares.
This is one of the most necessary for Beniaján South Coast and all infrastructure, again Beniaján was left out.
Communications are vital to the development of peoples and without them people and businesses are leaving them abocándolos abandonment.
4th - The new road Beniaján unfinished without maintenance.
While others in Murcia travel through three-lane road with shoulder, sidewalk, bike or pedestrian path lined median with artificial turf for southern neighbors, including us habilito Beniaján is unfinished road, no shoulder, no sidewalk, no bike lane, no pedestrian way, without artificial grass or wooded median and maintenance.
Did the southern neighbors have stopped paying our taxes?
We believe that it is unacceptable the situation.
5th - Public transport.
Public transport is expensive, we have the most expensive ticket to Spain, to do as little as going to Murcia and re Beniaján move for just € 3.70, 4 km from here, drive is also not an option because of their frequency and times, added to that we have lost the line 37 to Bojar weekend, a college student who wants to study from the campus of Espinardo Beniaján too much time and money employing.
6th - Beniaján dies because a neglected people.
The streets, squares, parks and gardens and many dirty shabby miss public awareness campaigns that encourage respect and civic behavior of citizens on the common, the all.
Also specific actions as replacement bins and increase them and also request more resources both human and technical means more to serve the parish.
We know that the people doing the work in Beniaján do everything they can, but a lack of resources, there are only two operators in the area from Monday to Saturday morning for the whole day intensive hamlet and remember that we include Villanueva and Bojar.
7th - Bike lane to provide us with the existing bank of the river.
We would open the possibility of communicating with Murcia via a safe route cyclable.
Right now Beniaján can be considered a serious, very sick patient, and if he does not apply the treatment you need will go worse, the medicine Beniaján need, is none other than the services, infrastructure, communications, investments, development work, education and culture, otherwise, we will end dying.
So, for these various reasons, we have made available to all those neighbors who agree to claims that we have listed from the Neighborhood Association and who want to support the campaign, some posters with the slogan "Beniaján DIES - It Solutions "so that the emplacen in their properties and show the need for this town needs attention.
From the Neighborhood Association, again we will ask our Mayor of Murcia receive us, we are aware that it is from Murcia, where we have to provide the solutions and answers, problems are beyond the competence of our mayor, we will request that the final draft is approved and the construction of the new Library and sociocultural center getting dates begin execution.
We will request that all those responsible for the various materials listed with citizens feel and are valued together an action plan in order to resolve the problems in a prioritized and tidy, because we are aware of the current situation.
And'll place in late September, the people of Beniaján, by convening a General Meeting of Residents, to report the actions and the state thereof, and / or to determine any other actions that are estimated appropriate.
