Currently, 20 municipalities in the Region of Murcia make use of this Central

Save costs, minorar acquisition times and simplifying administration procedures are the great advantages they can find the municipalities in the region if they go to the Central Recruitment Federation of Municipalities and Provinces to contract works, services or supplies.

The creation of this service six months ago is one of the possibilities opened after the entry into force of the Law of Rationalization and Sustainability of Local Government and it is intended to achieve greater efficiency in contract activity, both from the point of view management-it contributes to the simplification of administrative procedures in the procurement of works, services and supplies, such as from an economic point of view, since they can get it more advantageous economic conditions.

In order to publicize this service to all municipalities in the region, this morning held an information day on which intervened Murcia Mayor and President of the Federation of Municipalities of the Region, Miguel Ángel Cámara, along with the head of the General Directorate of Organization and Resources FEMP, Emilio Juarez.

At present, the Central Contracting offers three services:

- Risk and Insurance Service, which reduces the economic cost of the insurance program and receive professional services of high technical quality, and already 208 Local Authorities of the country including 8 of the Region of Murcia benefit.

- Service for Collection Management Abroad Sanctions Pertaining to Traffic holders and drivers domiciled outside Spain, which involved 185 Local Authorities and -12 of them in the region, and that channels the collection of such penalties .

- Comprehensive Counseling Service for expenditure optimization, aimed at generating actual savings in services and basic supplies.

At present this service are adhered to 113 local authorities, of which 2 are in the region.

20 municipalities in the region and make use of any of these services.

Specifically, Eagles, Sewer, Alhama, Murcia, Beniel, Blanca, Caravaca de la Cruz, Cartagena, Jumilla, Lorca, Mazarron, Molina de Segura, Moratalla, Mula, Murcia, Puerto Lumbreras, Santomera, Torre Pacheco Totana and La Union .

Of these, Archena is the only municipality that has adhered to the three existing services.

You will soon increase the supply of services or supplies, such as automotive fuel and heating;

supply of natural gas;

energy in high and low voltage;

natural gas;

fixed, mobile and ADSL;

luminaires with LED technology to replace the current system of public lighting, or postal, telegraph and parcel services, among others.
