A total of 14 tunas from Spain, Mexico and Chile participating in the XVIII edition of the International Contest of Tunas "Barrio del Carmen", which will be held on 10, 11 and 12 July at the Artillery Barracks.
The Tunas contest, organized by the University of Murcia Tuna District-1912 and sponsored by the City and the University of Murcia, El Corte Inglés, Estrella Levante, Bodegas Juan Gil, Cajamurcia and Coca-Cola Foundation, not only will the music at this venue but its participants, about 400 rounds and will parade through the city streets inviting Murcia to join this great event.
Admission is free and all nights will be free tastings, in collaboration with Coca-Cola, Estrella de Levante and the Friends of the cake.
The two awards from the competition were awarded this year to the Director of the Symphony Orchestra of the Region of Murcia, Virginia Martinez, Godmother, and popular radio communicator Domino Pepe Brown as Grand Master.
The Symphony Orchestra of the Region of Murcia will be the star of the special concert this year, under the name of "Noche de Ronda," will provide a great show based on popular operas and operettas.
A night that promises many surprises on stage with the winners and Tuna District.
The Carmelite painter Domingo Morales is the author of the poster this year, having left his particular vision of the student world with his unique style.
A new feature this year will be the new set design, dominated by a large LED screen art.
