Almost eighty young instrumentalists, with a mean age of 28 years, form the Symphony Orchestra of the Catholic University of Murcia, a group that, in its first season, has managed to gather during their concerts to over 10,000 people in more than thirty concerts .
These include the three solidarity with those who, in aid of Caritas visited the Teatro Romea Murcia Auditorium El Batel Cartagena and Lorca Theater War.
Thanks to this initiative within the firm intention of serving those in need with which the university Symphony born, raised over 18,000 euros.
Directors like Borja Quintas, Antonio Lajara, Tao Lin, Joan Espinosa, Emilio Fenoy, Fernando Alvarez or José Rafael P. Vilaplana, all with extensive international careers have been put in charge of the group this season, giving concerts of multiple genres and styles , which have been performed works by composers such as Bach, Handel, Tchaikovsy, Prokofiev, Verdi, Puccini, Bellini, John Williams, Ennio Morricone, Julian Santos, Roque Baños, Mozart and Carl Orff.
