The Department of Environment, directed Adela Martinez-Cache, through the Municipal Office of the bike, is continuing its work on improving and maintaining cycling infrastructure in the municipality of Murcia.
Thus, through the preservation and maintenance service, the Office of the bike has conducted the following activities:
- Replacement of a fork stolen near the Carrefour shopping center.
- In the Plaza Julian Romea has also changed the location of three forks, and preventing proper pedestrian access.
- In the street Mother Elisea Oliver Molina has undertaken the replacement of one of the forks, which was bent and shabby.
- Also, on the street Selgas of Murcia (near the Abasto Plaza de Saavedra Fajardo), the Office of the bicycle has had to relocate two forks that were loose.
The good infrastructure for bicycles in the town of Murcia is one of the objectives of the City Council to continue to promote the use of bicycles as a means of sustainable transport and offering citizens the opportunity to interact with the city of respectful and healthy way.
