Murcia opens new cultural tourism routes.
The collaboration between the Department of Culture and Tourism and the Department of Tourism has allowed the development of the 'Open Murcia Museum' project that seeks to raise awareness of the rich artistic heritage of the city blur into squares, streets, avenues and roundabouts .
Thus, the different itineraries, four in all, will tour the very symbolic sculptures installed in public while closer to other participants almost unknown works, about which people move but does not know what they are.
The city has more than 600 works, among them made a selection of 40 to highlight some while walking routes between Murcia and tourists are encouraged.
A brochure will be distributed in hotels, tourist offices and cultural centers sets out in detail the four routes to be performed in a guided way twice each month throughout the year.
On Saturday 30, at 11 am from the Memorial Conde de Floridablanca, in the garden that bears his name, will start the first of these tours 'Murcianeando' routes.
To participate is not necessary to register.
It has also created a blog that hosts the content and that will hang pictures and texts of strollers (MurciaMuseoAbierto.blogspot.es) and a Facebook profile (Murcia Open Museum) and Twitter (@ murciamuseoabie) to provide information and call visits.
These routes are open and dynamic as it will incorporate the new sculptures to recover or settle in the city.
This initiative seeks to highlight the rich sculptural heritage of the town and provide a new tourist attraction.
The four pathways have been called 'La Ribera del Segura', 'Murcianeando', 'From square to square' and 'On Wheels' and walking the following locations:
'La Ribera del Segura' runs along the Ronda de Garay and the Walk to end Floresta Lieutenant Plane San Francisco, on the banks of the Segura River and the old Ruiz Hidalgo Park.
