Workers Program Initial Professional Qualification (PCPI), backed by SIME and CCOO unions will hold a series of rallies to demand that these programs do not disappear, that would leave many untrained young people at risk of social exclusion, and is scheduled to sunset next September with the entry into force of LOMCE.
Thus, tomorrow, day 20, at 10:00 h, the first concentration will occur, at the door of the Ministry of Education in the Walk of Fame.
These concentrations will be repeated every Friday during the months of June and July.
Murcia City Council has been developing the Initial Professional Qualification Programmes, aimed at students between 15 and 20 years old and in total 203 groups have been created in different programs, with 2,817 students and more than 300 companies in the municipality 19 years working actively in the programs.
These Initial Vocational Training programs each year receive the application form for 160 students, so deleting them would mean the loss of training to a large number of unskilled young people, in addition to the loss of jobs, specifically 16 positions (seven teachers basic training workshops and 9 teachers).
