The charge of Education of the Socialist Group, M ª Carmen Moreno has claimed today in the plenary Assembly resumed work on the College of Education and Elementary Schools of New El Palmar.
The CEIP New Schools closed in 2011 by the Ministry of Education, Training and Employment for being in poor condition (so stated in the technical reports).
The Council then agreed with parents that within two years a new school would be built on a new plot, municipal property, but has not.
A motion was also approved in the Regional Assembly in this regard.
Moreno reported that "delays in the construction of this center have happened. February month put the first stone, but the work was stopped without any explanation and AMPA were given educational community."
Parents of students at the Centre have been numerous protests.
The Autonomous Community undertook to recepcionar a plot of 500 m2 to annex the sports area, but problems have prevented the City concluded successfully.
"City Hall and Council are passing the buck and blaming delays, with students who are paying for this mess."
M ª Carmen Moreno requested that the school plays immediately resumed and further warned that in this situation, the school will not be available for the 2015-2016 course, last date given by the Ministry, "which will mean material injury to the Community New Schools Educational El Palmar ".
