The councilors of Social Welfare and Education yesterday participated in the closing ceremony of the course of the 2013-2014 school support project, in which 125 volunteers participated, allowing the care of 164 children from 45 neighborhoods and districts of our -67 municipality in districts that have treated 98 children and 58 in the village, who have cared for 66 children.
Of the 164 children in care, children under 54 are foreign-born, representing 33% of all children involved in this project.
Remarkable is the dedication with which the volunteers have made their support, especially those who have decided to serve under parishes, the added effort of scrolling.
The joint commitment has allowed so many of them have been able to improve their academic performance, their way of coping and function in the everyday
The School Project Strengthening Family was originally conceived as a project to work with children from socially disadvantaged, but also as an essential tool in the integration processes of other groups with special difficulties, such as the case of minors of foreign origin have been incorporated into a new educational system for them, with adjustment difficulties, problems with language and social and cultural difficulties.
This work facilitates the assimilation of beneficiaries habits and conditions for the study and improvement of academic performance, while contributing discreetly but effectively, to change the very concept that some families have on the educational process and the importance that education for their children.
In yesterday's ceremony an honorary appreciation was performed two volunteers who have participated in the project for 3 consecutive courses:

The experience of two volunteers and two children involved in the project were also shown:
· VOLUNTARY: Maria Ruiz Miñana student 4th Language and Literature, has done volunteer work in the hamlet 2 Bacons Bridge Primary girls.
· RETAIL: Pilar Campos Tome studies 5th grade, school Bacons Bridge San Lorenzo.
· RETAIL: Sheyla Campos Tomé, 2nd Primary studied in Colegio San Lorenzo Bacons Bridge
· VOLUNTARY: Ana María Egea Canovas, has a degree in Business Administration and works in the Ministry of Health and Social Policy has made volunteering at the Infante Juan Manuel neighborhood with a guy from high school.
