The nature and animal park Terra Natura Murcia has welcomed the birth of four chickens of Ruddy Shelduck (Tadorna ferruginea), African bird that played for the first time in Murcia facilities.
The female has also caring for their young adoptad six of Mallard (Anas platirinchos) who teaches and nourishes as your own.
Terra Natura Murcia has two pairs of Ruddy Shelduck, and in the seven years of living in the park is the first time they are played.
Been four chickens that were born in the park without any complications and that are currently isolated at the risk of being attacked by a predator such as gulls.
Coinciding with the arrival of the chickens Ruddy Shelduck, caregivers Park Mallard found six who had no mother.
After isolating, it was decided to bring them to the female cinnamon to try to take that jar, give them warmth and teach them to feed themselves.
This union was a success and now the ten chickens are kept together in the care of female Ruddy Shelduck.
The Ruddy Shelduck is a bird of the family Anatidae, tan body and white face with black beak and tail.
It feeds on plants, small insects or animals is mollusks migrates and is distributed mainly in Africa and Asia, but also have small populations also found south of the Iberian Peninsula.
