The Mayor, Miguel Angel House, has supported the "Days of Shopping" in Tatters Silverware and streets that have started this morning and will last until Friday.
The initiative, organized by the newly formed Association of Merchants and Owners of these streets trying to turn this into a great pedestrian axis mall to stroll, shop and enjoy.
Along with the Mayor, attended the inauguration the president of the association, Marisa Cano, and José María Tortosa councilors, Jose Ros, María del Carmen Pelegrin, Adela Martinez-Cache and Rafael Gomez.
House has stressed the importance of carrying out such initiatives aimed at boosting commercial activity in "the heart of Murcia".
Throughout the three-day traders extend their hours from 10 to 14.30 hours and from 16.00 to 22.00, in addition to offering gifts and discounts to customers.
Additional entertainment activities organized and decorated the streets with a carpet of artificial turf, mannequins and banks.
This morning, at the opening, attendees witnessed a flashmob done by dancers dressed in company uniforms-Cespa this service dealership in Murcia, and dressed with brooms.
Then they started a tour of the streets in which these days has installed a children's train station and cotton candy at the Plaza José Esteve Mora and tasting booth in Plaza Joufré Susano.
