The Awareness and Environmental Awareness of the Department of Environment, who heads Cachá Adela Martinez has had the participation of 3,341 people during the January-May 2014 season.
During these five months, participants performed the activities proposed by the program or have used the services of environmental information that the Department makes available to visitors at the Municipal Park Majal Blanco.
The main novelty of this first program of the year was the launch of the new Centre Contraparada as a place for conducting training, awareness and environmental awareness.
The White Majal 2,020 people have been treated at the Point of Environmental Information that the Department is open on weekends and holidays in the Plaza of the mulberry trees, as well as the Visitor Center open Sundays in the classroom of nature.
As both services each year ending after this coming weekend with high temperatures and a consequent decrease in the influx Municipal Park to reopen in the second half of September.
Of the 23 specific activities during this period, eight have been environmental guided tours in which 159 people participated.
In addition to the itineraries for the Majal Blanco, have added new routes, such as La Murta-Carrascoy, the Sierra de los Villares, or Contraparada itinerary to the river and the garden.
The four workshops and seminars nature, conducted both in the Majal Blanco and center Contraparada have registered the participation of 72 people.
An outstanding new performing in March a workshop on the history, landscape and nature of the garden of Murcia and in April a workshop on ecological activities and family games in the Majal Blanco.
As for the informational booths that program installed on Santo Domingo council for environmental awareness, in the week of 24 to 30 March the "Gardens Alive" campaign was developed.
During the week 503 people were reported over the green areas of the town and participated in 5 parallel activities in the house, including the installation of a green urban garden that could be visited by hundreds of people not counted in the statistics.
For the second week in June is scheduled installation of a new information booth for expected around 500 other participants.
Meanwhile, the Environmental Volunteer Program of the Municipality of Murcia has achieved over this period the number of 87 enrollees who have had the opportunity to perform 6 activities, including completion of the "oven Plaster" with which volunteers have rehabilitated historic plaster and the oven was grinding White Majal.
