The rector of the University of Murcia, José Orihuela, today expressed "admiration for the Saharawi cause" during the visit to the institutional convalescence, home of the Senate, by a delegation headed by the Minister of Culture of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic Khadija Hambi.
Orihuela said during the reception during his tenure will strive to increase the bonds of friendship and cooperation with the people, in addition to words of appreciation and praise for Hambi for fighting in defense of women.
For his part, the Minister of Culture has said that the university "is the house where the values ​​of democracy, solidarity, freedom and human rights are protected."
He also mentioned that his country maintains collaboration with various Spanish universities and other based in Mexico, Cuba and Venezuela.
In the meeting, which followed a meeting at the same building of convalescence, was attended, among others, the Vice Chancellor of Communication and Culture, José Antonio Gómez;
Vice Chancellor for Teaching, José Ángel López, and the Vice Chancellor for Students, Quality and Equality, Miguel Angel Perez.
