A book published by the UMU sheds light on the first democratic experience in the region lived two centuries ago (28/05/2014)

Tomorrow, Thursday, May 29, will be the presentation of the book "The Liberal Triennium in the province of Murcia (1820-1823). First experience of freedom" by Francisco Javier Salmerón Giménez, edited by Editum, Publications Service of the University of Murcia.

It will be in the Hall of Jorge Guillén the Faculty of Arts at 19 hours, and in the act, in addition to intervene author: José Antonio Gómez Hernández, Vice President for Communication and Culture, University of Murcia;

M Âª José Vilar, Professor, Department of Modern, Contemporary and American History;

Baldrich Antonio Ballesteros, President of the Center for Historical Studies "Fray Pascual Salmerón" Conrado Navalón Coordinator Editum.

The book is the result of historical research that the author has made based on unpublished sources, while integrating the different studies on the Liberal Triennium had been made based on the former province of Murcia.

A policy is the first step to freedom lived experience in the region.

One of his achievements is properly situate the contribution of Murcia and Cartagena to the successful delivery of irrigation, which historians have not sufficiently recognized.
