The Faculty of Sport Sciences, University of Murcia and El Pozo Murcia soccer have been selected to lead in Spain a research project to improve the titles of Sport Sciences in Europe.
This project aims to study the variables affecting the employability of graduates in these securities and the identification of the demands of the labor market in professional sports sector in different EU countries, and to describe the professional skills that increase employability and academic needs analysis convergence in this sense.
As a member of the research, directed by Professor of the Faculty of Sports Science in collaboration with Alfonso Valero teachers at this center and the School of Education, the football team participates El Pozo Murcia, under the coordination of its director coach Fran Serrejón.
The investigation also involved the Universities of Gloucestershire (UK), Göttingen (Germany), Strasbourg (France), Thessaly (Greece), Palackeho v Olomouc (Czech Republic) and Cheltenham Borough Council (UK), which consolidates University of Murcia as a major partner of the European Network of Sports Science Studies (EN3S).
The project, with a duration of two years, is part of the call "Lifelong Learning Programme" of the European Commission.
