The Socialist Group held a meeting this week with representatives of several neighborhood associations in neighborhoods and districts to boost leisure activities in the districts of Murcia for next summer.
The meeting, attended by councilors Pedro Lopez and Andrea Garries served to make proposals and initiatives that crystallize in an upcoming motion PSOE to take the next plenary.
Garries details that will request a special call for proposals for neighborhood associations, cultural, AMPA, etc..
to organize summer activities in their districts or neighborhoods in order to give life to Murcia in summer through self-management.
The socialist mayor stressed the need for the cultural offerings of Murcia in the districts will be strengthened, since there is poor programming focuses primarily in the city.
The PSOE councilor notes that "holiday habits have changed and also because of the crisis many residents spend the months of July and August at home. The City should be sensitive and develop a program with activities such as street theater, cinema Summer concerts or by promoting local artists. "
