The Catholic University of Murcia signs an agreement with the Spanish Society of Surgical Oncology
The Hall of the Catholic University of Murcia hosts today Journeys Presentation Master in Oncology Multidisciplinary Wear, an event that brings together leading researchers from around the world with students of different titles related to health sciences taught in UCAM.
One of the issues to be addressed will be the highest incidence personalized treatment of cancer patients, one of the core subjects that shape the Masters in Multidisciplinary Oncology today presented Custom and direct Brugarolas Antonio, director of the Department of Oncology Multidisciplinary UCAM and director of the Platform Chiron Oncology Hospital of Torrevieja.
Throughout the day various conferences and roundtables in order to share with students the latest developments in the fight against this disease are held.
In this sense, Ramón González, head of the Genetic Counselling Unit Platform Chiron Oncology Hospital of Torrevieja, stressed the importance of research in this discipline to better design treatments.
"Before the tumors according to their origin were addressed, but is now characterized by molecular changes, regardless of their origin," he said.
Furthermore, Ramón González said the hope of curing this disease, "before he was in the 50%" while now, after the latest developments, "is around 60%."
Estrella Nunez, Vice President for Research UCAM also said at the opening that this day "enhances the acquisition by students of important generic skills in the area of ​​medicine."
Multidisciplinary approach

will share with college students the latest research in the treatment of cancer.
Agreement with the Spanish Society of Surgical Oncology
Moreover, during the morning, the UCAM has signed an agreement with the Spanish Society of Surgical Oncology in order to formalize a program of cooperation in training and research in the Multidisciplinary Oncology Master Custom.
About the launch of this graduate, President of the Spanish Society of Surgical Oncology, Santiago Gonzalez, has said that it is a pioneer and necessary because "nowadays oncology only thus can advance initiative, not we can work in separate groups and have to coordinate perfect the various professional and research groups working in the cancer patient groups mode.
