The Sports Council continues with waterproofing works and installation of artificial turf on the football field of sports Joseph Barnes.

The Sports Council is installing new, more modern and innovative in the artificial turf football field.
The works have involved lifting the existing artificial turf, which covers an area of ​​6,890 square meters, and the irrigation network, compaction of gravel and install new sewage and drainage, new irrigation network, with six guns and a range of 50 meters each;
and waterproofing the foundation of the football field.
Under the new artificial turf is being installed binder of shock absorption and above artificial turf yarn polyethylene.
Once the lawn is watered placed with silica sand and black SBR rubber.
This artificial grass, next generation, is approved by FIFA.
Besides the works in the field, equipment and new railings were installed.
Have also been waterproofed the locker room to avoid leaks.
The planned investment is EUR 340,000 and the installation will reopen its doors in September.
