Paloma Pérez Saura, student of Colegio San Buenaventura de Murcia, has proclaimed this weekend in Salamanca winner of the I Olympiad Philosophical Spain in the form of dissertation, considered the most important event of the competition.
Murcia student defended his work the need to link the scientific and humanistic education and the indispensability of philosophy to form a critical mind and curiosity for learning, at a time that the presence of this discipline in the classroom is threatened.
The competition, held at the University of Salamanca, also included the participation of Murcia students María José Ballester Sanchez, Mark Sanchez Well, Jorge Sánchez Canales and Angels Patricia Celestino Lopez, who were selected by the Faculty of Philosophy of the University Murcia regional phase of the Olympiad.
