The Ministry of Education, Culture and Universities has used the holiday period of Easter and Spring Festival to premiere Monday 368 students new school facilities and Primary Education of Our Lady of Sorrows in El Raal, in which the Community has invested three million euros.
The new center is built on a plot of 12,000 square meters in the vicinity of the previous school.
It has three blocks intended for Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education and Administrative Services and the module for gym, cafeteria and multipurpose.
It is also equipped with two sports courts and covered porches between buildings.
The Director General of Education Centres, María Dolores Valcárcel, said "the three buildings are built and designed to count all the spaces with natural light and ventilation, as well as prioritize the economy and efficiency in maintenance."
He added, "The modular and transparent blocks character ensures a versatile and adaptable use schooling needs of demographic change in the area. Were also installed solar panels for hot water, which is energy saving and efficiency ".
The central module of the school, in addition to six classrooms for primary, has one for languages, music or audiovisual resources, library and four rooms for educational support and splittings, so that teachers have at their disposal the necessary spaces to develop its efforts to improve educational quality and greater school success.
The investment made by the Ministry since 2007 in education infrastructure in the municipality of Murcia exceeds 42 million.
