The two Olympic swimming team capitanean UCAM for university national competition to be held in Inacua
Next week (Wednesday 23 and Thursday 24 April) Inacua pool in Murcia will become the nerve center of the national swimming with the running of the University Championships in Spain, bringing together more than twenty universities and nearly two hundred participants.
The Catholic University of Murcia (UCAM), host of the competition, has in its ranks a number of swimmers achieved last weekend to compete in the low European Swimming Championships next summer is disputed mark.
The salient to the general public are past World medalists: Mireia Belmonte and Melani Costa.
Both come to meet their objectives in the National Open in Palma and will now have to prepare to be a hundred percent in the summer event, but before they have a major commitment in Murcia to certify the superiority shown last year in the Championship Spain University.
Mireia Belmonte, a student of Advertising and Public Relations at the UCAM Murcia comes in after breaking several records in Spain and achieve better two world records this year, ranking it right now as the global benchmark in butterfly, styles and 400, 800 and 1,500 free.
Melani Costa, who is studying Physiotherapy is presented enshrined in their specialties after 200 and 400 free, and achieving European low back also.
Furthermore, Mireia Belmonte and Melani Costa will have to monitor many other swimmers who excelled in the Open de Palma: Jessica Vall, Marc Sanchez, Duane da Rocha and Juanmi Rando.
They will also be at the European Championships in Berlin and presented in quotation University Championships in Spain with the aim of improving the spectacular results of last year that the UCAM got 34 medals (23 gold, 6 silver and 5 bronze).
