The Ministry of Education, Culture and Universities submitted to the educational community of Puebla de Soto the proposed new education center and Primary Children Murcia hamlet and will replace the current facilities CEIP Our Lady of Mercy.
In particular, the Ministry has planned an investment of 1.9 million euros in these new educational infrastructure that will serve the town of Murcia and is implemented in two phases.
In the first one the classrooms will be performed and the second center will be equipped with a gym and cafeteria.
The first phase of the project includes the Children's area for three drives, a common, multipurpose space of 60 square meters, as well as their respective toilets.
Also, a part of Primary have six spacious classrooms, classrooms for other complementary building activities, multipurpose space of 120 meters, a library or other multi-purpose rooms.
The project also includes administrative facilities and teachers.
In total, including covered porches, is an area of ​​2,000 square meters built.
The director general of Department, Maria Dolores Valcárcel, said: "The objective of the Ministry is to take in the coming weeks the bidding contest works and hope to start in September execution. Likewise, the aim is that these facilities are ready for the start of the 2015-2016 course, as we have agreed with the educational community of Puebla de Soto. "
Also in the planning of this new infrastructure has remained a constant dialogue with the educational community of Puebla de Soto and the city of Murcia, in order to achieve maximum consensus and implementation support.
Today, in the CEIP Our Lady of Mercy of Puebla de Soto 119 students are studying in nine units and Primary.
The center, which dates back to the 60s, has had several investments and improvements throughout its history, although its replacement by a new center is needed.
The construction of this new center shows the continued effort over time that makes the Autonomous Community to expand and renovate its network of educational infrastructure to facilitate the work of teachers and school learning and student success.
