The municipal libraries of El Carmen, River Segura and Espinardo today celebrate World Book Day.
Traditionally this day is commemorated on 23 April but these libraries have decided to bring forward the date does not coincide with the Spring Festival.
The Councillor for Education, Maria Dolores Sánchez, attended the activities that have taken place in the library of El Carmen that day consisted of reading books 'Routes of letters, station story: El Carmen features'.
They have participated schools, neighborhood associations and students of Superior Cycle Interpretation Sign Language (IES Juan Carlos I of Murcia), in collaboration with the Municipal Government of El Carmen, the Murcia Association of Friends of Railway, juanolo and Pedro Santomera .
The storytelling takes place from 9 to 14 and 17 to 22 hours.
Also, the library presents the exhibition El Carmen 'Expocuento: Sophia, who loved music cow', donated by the city of Gijón, which can be visited at the Exhibition Hall of the Municipal Center.
Espinardo Library celebrates its traditional 'A night of stories,' which has been running since 2000. Starting from 19.00 neighbors, readers, writers and people may wish to read a story.
The aim is to convey the importance of reading and books as a means to spread culture.
In the Segura River Library will be open the exhibition "The legacy of paper, early printing in Murcia '.
The exhibition is sponsored by the Murcia Regional Library and curated by professors of the Faculty of Communication and Information at the University of Murcia Square Amparo García and Cristina Herrero Pascual, expert in history of the printed book and bibliographic heritage.
It will be open until June 30.
