The University of Murcia host on 10th and 11th April the II International Congress of TUI, organized by the International Observatory of University Smart Card (TUI) based self-University, in collaboration with Banco Santander, through its Santander Universities Global Division.
In its first edition, the conference was attended by representatives from over 65 universities in 10 countries, a figure that has surpassed the current edition, in which we currently have registered more than 130 researchers and technicians from 11 countries.
The congress will be held in the auditorium of the University of Murcia, which will be opened by the rector of the institution, José Antonio Cobacho, accompanied by Vicente Prior, Director of Products and Canales from Santander Universities Global Division, and Alfredo Albaizar, director of Santander Universities Spain.
Attendees will discuss the new trends in the use of TUI, especially its evolution to mobile phones, electronic signature and social networks.
The status and progress of the TUI worldwide will also be addressed, usage experiences and campus card related and practical workshops will be conducted to address in depth the most important issues around card exchange techniques.
During the congress a pilot project that allows the incorporation of the TUI to mobile phone and use NFC and a new microSD card for opening lathes, payment at vending machines, access control, authentication, and develop computers withdrawal of bicycles, among other services.
Attendees can test it first-hand on the premises of the University of Murcia.
Participating universities will present their success stories and experiences with TUI, whose advanced technology allows adapt its functionality to each university community.
