In order to publicize the work performed by NGOs, the Centre for Training and Employment Initiatives of the city of Murcia, led by José María Tortosa, held a conference on volunteerism for young Programme Vocational Training Initial.
The day with the participation of entities that develop social work intervention, sustainable development, reception and protection of animals, fight against social exclusion, European volunteering, among other actions.
These NGOs: Ecologists in Action, Emmaus Traperos Humane Association and José María Párraga.
It has also had the participation of the European Voluntary Service of the Department of Sports, Youth and Tourism, which has been responsible for raising awareness of the work being done by volunteers involved in this program outside Spain.
This activity is intended for students of the Vocational Training Program know first hand the personal, social and professional benefits it can bring the work of volunteers, as well as developing a supportive work, interact with others of their age, feel part of a group, learn and contribute to the protection of our natural resources, know other countries and cultures, providing assistance and protection to animals and people at risk of exclusion.
They can also receive training in these organizations and acquire personal and professional skills useful for future employment.

Today, the city of Murcia is training 162 young dropouts of Secondary Education which found in Vocational Training Program an alternative to obtain the ESO, while acquiring a professional level certificate 1 in 9 Qualifications: Welding and metal buildings, electricity grids, cooking, hairdressing, beauty, retail and warehouse, plumbing, HVAC and vehicle maintenance.
