Murcia City Council has organized for the Third Wednesday 9th European Meeting on cloud computing, for a government within the actions Murcia takes to become a SmartCity.
The main objective of this meeting, which is held in the Local Development Agency is to integrate information technology in its internal processes and services to citizens, rationalizing resources and improving the quality of service that is provided to people.
The day was attended by the members of the City of Murcia in the European project SMARTPA, institutions from Germany, Greece, Poland and Bulgaria.
SMARTPA is funded by the Lifelong Learning Programme of the European Commission.
This conference on Cloud Computing will analyze features, applications and legal aspects in which representatives of these countries and will have international distribution.

Murcia City Council participates in the European project "SMARTPA" within "LifeLong Learning" program, included in the European Action Plan 2011-2015 Electronic Government and the European Digital Agenda 2010 as the most economical way to ensure quality E-government services (http://www.smartpuba.eu/).
This project aims to improve the use of ICTs, in particular cloud computing services and training required in public administrations in the EU.
The ultimate goal is to support interoperability, efficiency and flexibility in relationship management with European citizens and their needs.
