The Minister of Education, Universities and Employment of the Autonomous Community, Pedro Antonio Sánchez, today highlighted the contribution of the University of Murcia to the development of the region during a ceremony held at the Convalescence building to present the journal of the centenary of this institution.
The publication, which has a circulation of 20,000 copies, has been edited by journalist Mariano Caballero and features on its cover a work of painter and honorary doctorates from the University Pedro Cano.
Knight explained that the magazine, with over 130 pages, contains what has been the centenary of the University of Murcia through the work done by writers and teachers and researchers.
The director of the play said that a common note of all jobs is the love, respect and gratitude to the University, not to forget to show some concern for the future if cuts continue to occur.
For his part, the President of the University, José Antonio Cobacho, thanked Caballero have devised and launched the magazine, in addition to words of praise for those who have participated in it and also for advertisers who have made it possible .
Among those attending the ceremony and the exrectores Juan Roca Juan Monreal were;
former President of the Board Thomas Zamora;
the Government exdelegado Rafael González Tovar, and the president of the Autonomous Community Carlos Collado.
