The event will take place on 23, 24 and 25 April in Murcia
The Cabinet today approved the signing of a cooperation agreement between the Ministry of Health, Social Services and Equality and the University of Murcia, for the joint organization of the International Congress of Colleges and Schools of Social Work.
The conference will take place on 23, 24 and 25 April 2014 in the city of Murcia.
The Convention responds to the mutual interest of the parties to participate in co-management, and active co-participation in the International Congress of Colleges and Schools of Social Work, organized by the Faculty of Social Work at the University of Murcia.
The purpose of this academic event is to address and discuss the various issues and challenges to social work, as well as scientific and academic discipline linked to universities, as in his professional side for which they have enjoyed the cooperation of the Council of Colleges Social Work in Spain.
This Congress also aims to facilitate the exchange of scientific knowledge and the creation of mechanisms to identify, describe and diagnose specific problems of society and to formulate solutions or alternatives, using a model of networking from all agencies related to social work so that they can provide more effective responses to the problems that arise both in the academic, research and professional and political.
The Congress is aimed at diversity-related social work as teachers, researchers, students, professionals, organizations, managers and directors to develop their career in the field of social services, education and other areas of social intervention profiles public or third sector of social action, both in Spain from 35 faculties and schools, 35 academic departments and 37 professional schools-as internationally.
It is estimated that attend the Congress around 500 people.
Different thematic areas will be addressed including most notably the educational innovation, research in social work and transfer of results, and monitoring practices, the internationalization of social work, social work in times of crisis and Citizenship and Social Work.
The total amount of collaborative activities under the Convention amounts to 20,000 euros, of which each party will contribute half, although the total amount of the estimated cost of Congress amounts to 58,900 euros, of which an estimated 38,900 euro from the registration revenue.
The Ministry will make its contribution to the University of Murcia after completion of the activities under the Convention on justification of the costs thereof.
