The Mayor, Miguel Ángel Cámara, participated this morning in the Museum Ramon Gaya, in the 'Marathon' reading to mark World Poetry Day which, this time, will feature the writer of The Union Cegarra Mary.
Throughout the day, from ten in the morning until ten at night, personalities and ordinary citizens have been able to pay tribute to the Murcia author reading his poems in the Plaza de Santa Catalina de Murcia.
Cegarra María Salcedo (La Union 1903/Murcia, 1993) was chemistry professor and poet.
He admitted not having a wealth of large vocabulary, such as her friend Carmen Conde, and was defined as simple but full of emotion.
