The Socialist councilor Andrea Garries denounced again today at a press conference the abandonment of neighborhoods and districts by the municipal government of the People's Party to which he devoted a paltry budget during this exercise.
Garries appeared today to make a valuation of the items you receive neighborhoods and districts following its recent approval by the Governing Board and which is found to be abused again purely residual investments, far short of the needs of their neighbors.
The socialist mayor notes that "once again, Councilman Christopher Smith returns to direct management reserved for a quarter of the budget earmarked for neighborhoods and districts."
Specifically, it explains Garries, "Herrero 2.5 million of the 10.3 that are planned in 2014 for investments in neighborhoods and districts limiting decentralization and citizen participation reserves".
"This practice should be eradicated, especially after episodes that have met with the awards 'finger' minor works in districts and is being investigated by the prosecution," said Garries who returns to claim the maximum transparency in the management of municipal boards.
Moreover, the PSOE mayor recalled that the 2014 budget which allocates the municipal government of the PP to the districts is far from fulfilling the mandate to allocate 8% of the districts established by regulation of the City.
"This year 10 million will be used when the rules state that they should be at least 32" concludes the Socialist councilor.
