The University of Murcia and Cajamurcia Foundation have signed an agreement by which it expands its contribution to the project platform developed by the Social Action Chair in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) of the educational institution, happening this year from 6,000 to 9,000 euros.
Social Action Platform is configured as a meeting place for projects that need help, on the one hand, and citizens, businesses and administrations that provide this assistance in the form of donations of money, property and time on the other.
The manager of the Foundation, Pascual Martínez, said that this is a project that "contributes to the development and social cohesion, but also has the rigor of an academic institution like the University of Murcia."
The event, held at the Rector of the University, spoke the Minister of Education, Universities and Employment, Pedro Antonio Sánchez, who has stated that these initiatives of social engagement are "the way to the viability and future of the welfare state ".
The agreement brought together many representatives of collaborating organizations, including the Mayor of Molina de Segura, Eduardo Contreras, a city that will host this year's main charity events of the Platform.
Also attended by the director of the RSC Chair, Professor Marin Longinus, and the director of the Platform of Social Action, Victor Meseguer.
The rector, José Antonio Cobacho, closed the ceremony by his few words of the director of the Department in which corporate social responsibility values ​​of transparency, respect and cooperation relates.
