Specialists and scholars from eleven countries gathered in the city of Murcia from 9 to 11 May at the International Congress of Molinología, national benchmark in this heritage will be given.
The Congress, organized by the Association for the Conservation and Study of the Mills (ACEM) and the Association for the Conservation of Huerta de Murcia (Huermur), will feature more than 60 papers divided into four sections: history, inventory and protection; anthropology and intangible heritage, architecture, landscape restoration, and engineering and energy resources.
Taking advantage of this edition, the number nine, takes place in Murcia, also be visits to the region of Murcia in the value of these traditional mills will be displayed as well as the rest of his ethnographic heritage.
The presentation of the conference was held today at the Rector of the University of Murcia, one of the collaborating institutions.
The event, chaired by the President of the University, José Antonio Cobacho, was attended by representatives of other institutions involved in its organization, which include Cajamurcia, the city of Murcia and the Autonomous Community Foundation.
