The Socialist councilor Andrea Garries ask the municipal PP in plenary on Thursday to launch a campaign to involve youth violence and promote gender and attitudes based on respect, equality, freedom and autonomy behaviors.
Garries-points is essential that the corporation be involved with this proposal because statistics reveal an alarming increase in gender violence among youth.
The latest data from INE highlighted that 28% of female victims of such violence are under 30 years old and dead from these causes the percentage is similar.
The PSOE mayor explained that this campaign would be essential prevention targets sexist behavior and the investment of resources to learn and recognize this type of violence.
And pointing Garries-induced changes of the standard use of social networks to applications that allow control of the couple at all times is becoming a very powerful weapon in the hands of abusers, which is causing a transformation in the behaviors of violence we have an obligation to prevent.
