The traditional carnival parade in the neighborhood of Carmen will this year with the animation of about 900 people, divided between schools, other groups and neighborhood associations.
A massive party whose poster is made, as usual, with the winners of the contest in which students from different schools attending the parade pictures.
This year children's drawings that have caused more sensation have been Andrés García Martínez, Nicolás Cerda Irene, Germán López Soto, Victor Kovalo Kovaloka, Luisa Gonzalez Llamas, Alicia and Victoria Campuzano Mellado German Aliaga.
During the award winners received a gift from the Councillor for Culture, Rafael Gomez and the President of the Municipal Board of the Barrio del Carmen, Saura Michelangelo.
His illustrations, along with the other candidates who participated in the competition, will also be present at an exhibition that takes place until March 4 at the Civic Center Barrio del Carmen.
Kids, groups and neighborhood associations and finalizing final preparations for the show that Carnival will take place on Friday, February 28th at 17:30.
Among the participants are different schools of the district, two academies of dance, capoeira and a group of many groups that attend the parade each year.
As the new head of the parade will be formed by a group of animation composed of five mosquitoes, called "Flight Plan".
The parade will follow the same route as last year: C / Artillery Barracks - C / Actor José Crespo - C / Floridablanca - Square González Conde - C / Hermanos Ceron - Tower Romo - Capuchin Alameda - Paseo Marqués de Corvera - Square González Conde - C / Floridablanca - C / Actor José Crespo - C / Artillery Barracks.
Throughout the whole journey six cars with music provided the ideal atmosphere to celebrate and enjoy the Carnival.
After the parade, there will be chocolate for all participants.
As in previous years the completion of the parade and the prize drawing contest has the organization of the Municipal Board of the Barrio del Carmen in collaboration with the Department of Culture.
