Incidents in street lighting can be fix immediately thanks to the new control center (21/02/2014)

The street lighting service, under the Department of Urban and Infrastructure Quality, will be more effective, immediate and efficient.

Application Control Center Public Lighting that Electromur developed in collaboration with the municipal technical services for service management, is designed as a platform to unify all incidents received from the lighting and, secondly, optimizing , organize and control the resources allocated to maintenance.

It is another step in the integration of public services in day to day city is getting so SmartCity Murcia.

The Control Center-lighting, which will be launched in the coming days, allow the registration of fault messages from different sources digitally distributing real-time to each of the teams that is operating at all times, because these will be equipped with mobile devices (tablets) with permanent connection to the Control Center.

Once the incident is resolved and is closed by the operator, automatically its status is updated in the application, so both the operator control center as technicians and foremen can see in real time what the status of an incident (pending allocation, assigned or terminated).

Thanks also to the geographic component of the application, you can view from the control center for the exact location of the ads and therefore can be detected when concentrations of incidents occur in a given area and act accordingly by allocating more resources to the area or make special monitoring.

To encourage collaboration with other municipal services (local police, citizen service service at night ...), the application is enabled so that they can be accessed by the corresponding user key and can notify breakdowns and incidents so far been making telephone calls.

All notices received at the control center are stored in a database, which can then get all kinds of reports, such as a list of the districts with the highest number of incidents, the most common type of incident, statistics about the origin of the messages ...

Breakdowns received during the performance of a service lighting maintenance usually very numerous, especially when an installed base of light spots large, such as the City of Murcia is managed.

Currently in the municipality are installed over 98,000 points of light, firing 1,329 command centers and a network of power lines estimated about 1,470 kilometers long.

Replacement of light off points annually involves replacing more than 16,600 lights and about 2,640 auxiliary power equipment, starters or capacitors.

Throughout the past 2013, the total number of messages it received regarding incidents related to public lighting was 9,129, broken down as follows:

The maintenance service in part of street lighting, also has the technical, administrative and foremen of a staff of 41 officers carrying out their day in 24-hour shifts, 365 days a year, and has a fleet of vehicles consisting of a fleet of 25 vehicles between lifts, vans, trucks and cars.
