The autonomous region allocated 2.9 million euros in the construction of the building, which will occupy a plot of 8,000 m2 donated by the city.
The 500 students of the New School CEIP El Palmar debut a new school when they conclude the construction works have started today, and whose laying of the foundation stone was attended by the Mayor of Murcia, Miguel Ángel Cámara, and the Minister of Education, Universities and Employment, Pedro Antonio Sánchez.
Also attended the ceremony were the President of the Municipal Board of El Palmar, Diego López Alcaraz, and Council of Education, Lola Sanchez, and Planning and Housing, Juan Antonio Bernabé.
Mayor House has emphasized the importance of maintaining the necessary investments to further improve the media directed to education and welfare of citizens.
The construction of the new nursery and primary school "New Schools", promoted by the Autonomous Community, will involve an investment of nearly 2.9 million and will have a lead time of 18 months.
The center will replace the old school, which had to close down in the summer of 2011 before the bad state in which I found part of it.
Since then, 460 students attend classes at the Center for Reconciliation of work and family life, provided by the Council, as well as at school painter Pedro Cano, both located in El Palmar.
The work that begins today is fully funded by the Autonomous Community, while the City has provided land to build the equipment, with an area of ​​8,000 square meters.
With these assignments the Council aims to meet the needs of the school population in the levels of infant and primary municipality.
The new school, located opposite the former center, will offer two educational lines, with 6 classrooms for children and 12 primary, and consist of three blocks, annexed by porches, one for kindergarten, one for primary education, computer room and services general administrative, and the third intended multiple uses with gym locker room, kitchen, dining room and multipurpose room.
It is planned also to build two sports courts and spaces reserved for you 22 parking spaces.
