The Councillor for Social Welfare and Health, Maruja Pelegrin, this morning attended the activities organized by the Association of Families of Children with Cancer in the Region of Murcia (Afacmur) in the Plaza de Santo Domingo to commemorate the International Day of the Child Cancer.
In addition to inflatables, music, craft workshops, charity market and stage performances have read a manifesto in which children ask adults "magical powers" to improve research on childhood cancer for parents they can accompany the ICU and to have access to better treatments.
Participants in the event have made written requests to raise the air by balloons, so that the desires for the good of children are raised to become reality.
Afacmur offers different services and psychological care (assistance to children and families during hospital admissions, counseling, work with parents in groups ...), social care (management and information resources and services, information, guidance and counseling, intervention individualized social ...), educational services (hospital recreational activities, school support, tutoring in different schools ...) and volunteering
