Pope Francisco, first celebrating Valentine Pontiff, has blessed this morning in St. Peter's Square at the Vatican about 25,000 couples dating almost thirty nationalities.
The event, whose theme was 'The joy of it is for ever', has come José Luis Mendoza, president of the San Antonio Catholic University of Murcia with his wife Maria Dolores Garcia, invited by the Pope, with which they have held a meeting.
"Fear of a final choice is a, typical of our culture in general fear that everything changes and nothing lasts," said the Holy Father during his speech.
Initially it was intended that the act acudieran 3,000 couples, but forecasts have overflowed and the act has had to move from the Paul VI Hall at the Plaza de San Pedro.
