The Gastronomic Culture Classroom Veronicas Market has welcomed today the talk 'I do not throw food ... And you-', organized by the Spanish Confederation of Housewives, Consumers and Users (CEACCU) and with the collaboration Thader Consumption City of Murcia.
Councilmember Equality Policy and Development Cooperation, Alicia Barquero, attended the talk that explained how the issue impacts of food waste in the rights of consumers and offers tips to help reduce waste in homes.
Moreover, doubts have been clarified as the possibility to extend the expiry date of food or eating food past date.
The aim of this talk is to help minimize the generation of food waste in households, promoting rational habits at the time of purchase (planning, choice of supplier and product) in storage (conservation) and in the preparation and preservation or treatment of food waste (re-cooked).
