Students of IES Alquerías participated this morning in a talk given by the NGO Oxfam Intermón in order to publicize the work of this organization and promote volunteering.
Intermón born in 1956 and over the years has been developing its work reivinidar the right to a decent life, to promote gender justice, save lives, promote sustainable food systems and fight for a fair distribution of natural resources.
The NGOs working in the field of humanitarian action, development projects, awareness campaigns and mobilization and fair trade.
Councilmember Equality Policy and Development Cooperation, Alicia Barquero, attended the talk and pointed out that this activity is part of the program 'Educating in development', which promotes all activities with NGOs months the municipality to raise awareness and publicize their work.
