The Mayor has delivered the prizes of 50,000 euros, the best proposals submitted to XXI Business Project Competition.
The 61 initiatives submitted this year represent the largest turnout in the event, which last year received 46 projects and 24 in 2011.
Since 1995, the City has distributed through this competition more than 738,000 euros to entrepreneurs for setting up of 190 companies.
Five projects designed, created and promoted by Murcia entrepreneurs will have the support of the City Council, which will receive financial and technical assistance through the convening of the XXI Business Project Competition organized by the Department of Employment.
The Mayor, Miguel Ángel Cámara, delivered this morning to the corresponding promoters awards, adding up to a total amount of 50,000 euros, distributed among 5 Awards 9 runners, three honorable mentions.
In addition, the promoters of the 40 ideas that have not been awarded a diploma received acknowledging their participation.
In this new edition there have been 61 projects, which is an absolute record.
In the previous edition-46 initiatives is not hitherto had never reached such a high-number, 24 in 2011 and 26 in 2010 were recorded.
Since 1995, there have been 417 projects submitted to the competition and the City Council has allocated 738,000 euros in prize money for the start-up of 190 companies.
The Mayor congratulated all the participants in the contest because his ideas "place value who we are and what we do", as demonstrated by the design of new business viability of future projects.
Chamber also stressed that entrepreneurs winners this year have already demonstrated their capacity for 5 awards have gone to companies that are already operating.
