The Municipal Office of the bike, under the Department of Environment, directed Adela Martinez-Cache, installed 420 new bike parking spaces.
These points are made of galvanized steel bars 210 in a "U".
In each of the bars two bicycles can be parked.
The 420 new bicycle parking spaces in addition to the existing 2,736 seats in the municipality of Murcia, so, with the latter facilities the City already has 3,156 bicycle parking spaces, which leads us to be increasingly close to meeting the objectives of the Bicycle Master Plan.
This action is part of the Bicycle Master Plan of Murcia which includes the installation of a total of 7,150 bicycle parking spaces.
The Municipal Office of the bike is working on an interactive online map of Cycle in the City, which offers the possibility to obtain information on location and proximity.
We remind also through Green Line Cycle can ask around your place of residence, work, or study center busiest points.

The new Cycle once been located in places with high mobility, as is the case:
- Cultural centers, major and woman.
- Medical offices, training centers, and educational and religious centers.
- Touring and central streets, walks and avenues.
The Municipal Office of Murcia biking strongly recommends the use of secure bicycle locks.
Recall that the most secure locks are called hairpin-shaped or "U".
It is recommended not to use steel cable locks or "spiral", as well as chain link, as they are the most insecure.
A good lock - provided that tie the bike frame (and possibly wheels) to bicycle parking - offers greater security for the bike is not stolen.
