Professor at the University of Murcia Miguel Buttes delivered today on behalf of the governing of public universities in the region, a plaque to Commander Spain Antarctic Base "Gabriel de Castilla", Juan Navarro, in appreciation for the support of the Armed Forces to I + D + i of the two educational institutions.

The delivery was followed by video-conference by the rectors of the University of Murcia and Cartagena Polytechnic José Antonio Franco and Jose Antonio Cobacho, respectively, which were in the Parque Tecnológico de Fuente Álamo celebrating the meeting of Governing Board of the Campus of Excellence Mare Nostrum.

The gift also mentions the centennial of the University of Murcia (CENTUM), which is commemorated in the Buttes actualidad.Miguel participates in Antarctica in the research project "Pinguclim" which studies climate change and its influence on various aspects Penguins.
