The Bishop of the Diocese of Cartagena, Bishop Jose Manuel Lorca Planes, presided at the morning Thursday, January 16, the Eucharist, following the Hispano-Mozarabic rite in the Cathedral, on the occasion of the celebration of the feast of San Fulgencio, patron of the Diocese and Seminary.
The Eucharist began with the cloistered procession with the ark carrying the relics of the patron saint, and was concelebrated by nearly a hundred priests, who by the Cathedral Chapter and the Episcopal Council wanted to honor the head of the Diocese.
The Bishop, in his homily, called the Holy of "teacher of faith, whose task was an effort to live the unity and communion of the Church", and stressed that the source of his preaching "the Word was God."
He recalled that it is necessary to seize the opportunities that the Lord gives us but always helped by your support, discovering the importance of prayer, "living in God, knowing as it has been with us."
He also had a special message for the priests in this celebration to said "Christ is our model and our pillar, we are called to live the love of Christ."
After the Eucharist, in the courtyard of the Palacio Episcopal, and as is traditionally done, has used the sweet potato.
