The City Council has moved a step closer to opening a road linking the street Acisclus Santiago Diaz steps, along the garden of Salitre, decongesting traffic in the area.
This new road will improve the road network in the central area of ​​the city.
The City Council has awarded the contract for this new street with a lead time of six months and an investment of more than 196,000 euros.
Work will begin in a few weeks.
The road will have a length of 95.41 meters and will have a one-way road of 3.5 meters, 2.5 meter sidewalks on each side and parking online.
The route goes through a qualified home soil road.
The opening of this street is covered by the General Urban Plan.
The initial node of the street is the height of the steps Santiago intersections and Jerome de Roda, and final node coincides with crossing Acisclus Diaz Gomez Cortina.
The new road will improve the road infrastructure in the area to remove the 90 degree turn there at the confluence of the streets of Santiago Steps / Acisclus Diaz.
In addition, pedestrians will have wide sidewalks winning safety.
