The city of Murcia lay off the year with the celebration of the traditional and bustling San Silvestre race to be held during the afternoon of December 31.
The test is organized by Athletics Federation of Murcia and the newspaper La Verdad, in collaboration with the city of Murcia.
The start and finish are located in Gran Vía (with square Fuensanta).
At 16 hours, begin to Benjamin races (200 meters), Youngsters and Children (1,200 meters) and Cadet and Junior (2,000 meters).
The Absolute category start at 17.30, with a distance of 6600 meters along the main streets of the city.
Registrations can be made at www.laverdad.es, until 26 December.
The collection of numbers, chip and stock broker will be in the sports section of the English Court and the English Court Murcia Shot, on 28, 29 and 30 December.
Runners will have physiotherapy service when testing is complete.
Councillor for Sport, Youth and Tourism, Miguel Cascales, has indicated that the San Silvestre Murcia is the biggest race of its kind held in the region and among the top four in Spain, in participation and importance.
The race course is: Gran Vía (Fuensanta square), Avenue Canalejas, Juan Antonio Hernádez Eagle, Avda Rio Segura, Avenida Infante Juan Manuel Garay Round, square of the Red Cross, Ronda de Garay, Obispo Frutos, Avda Loustau Rector José, José Tapia Sanz Street, New Gate Street, Street Merced, Alejandro Séiquer, Apostles Belluga, San Patricio street, Gran Via, to the finish.
