The integration of people from different backgrounds through food has been the goal of 'Flavours of Murcia' initiative, which was held yesterday at the University Square to participate successfully.
Four restaurants located in the town offered a free tasting of their lids to integrate the flavors made by people from other cultures, such as flavors of Murcia.
This project aims to promote participating restaurants, promote the channels of integration through gastronomy and encourage culinary tourism.
The culinary diversity was present in the sample of the very Bantamba (Kitchen Saharan Africa, particularly Senegalese) Rinconcito Ecuador (Ecuadorian and Colombian cuisine), Las Palmeras (Bolivian cuisine) and Los Arcos (Ecuadorian cuisine) restaurants.
This project is the brainchild of Gabriel Ruiz Castillo honored by the Telefónica Foundation through the 'Think Big' initiative, and with the collaboration of the Department of Sports, Youth and Tourism.
