The Governing Council of the University of Murcia, in the meeting held today at the building of convalescence, has approved the draft budget submitted by the team rector, rising to 177.6 million, a decrease of 2.62 percent from 2013.
The budget is thus reduced by EUR 4.7 million compared to this year, rising to 182.4 million euros.
In the revenue is expected to decline nearly three million euros in fees and charges and more than seven million in current transfers.
As regards expenditure, relating to personal falling four million euros, although the governing team has ensured that will be achieved through austerity and savings, not at the expense of jobs, which be maintained.
Both the rector, José Antonio Cobacho as the Vice Chancellor for Business and Infrastructure, Antonio Calvo-Flores, give thanks to the university community help in saving schemes launched in 2009 and understanding the measures that it has been necessary to adopt by the prevailing economic situation.
The draft budget now goes to the Board of the University for approval.
